Far Cry 3 Level Design

Project Overview

Wanting to try and recreate something from a video game, I decided to try and create something that you might come across while playing Far Cry 3. Created in Unreal Engine, I made a small area with a shack and a small dock that could be explored. I created all of the man-made assets and all the natural assets were taken from Unreal Engine.

My Contributions

  • Use of 3DS Max to model/unwrap assets

  • Use of Substance Painter for some textures

  • Use of multiple lights to create mood lighting

  • Create custom skydome

  • Use of foliage tool within Unreal Engine

  • Use of in-engine assets to populate the world around the scene.
